5. Is it safe for my child to upload a video?

Here at KIDZBOP.com, our goal is to ensure that your children have a fun but completely safe online experience. This is why each and every video that is uploaded to KIDZBOP.com is reviewed by THE KIDZ BOP SQUAD (a.k.a. our trained staff) before it is published to our site.

Each video is reviewed and if it is appropriate and follows our guidelines it is published to the site. To further protect the safety of your children uploaded videos can only be viewed on our site and cannot be downloaded or sent virally.

If a video does not follow our guidelines and is deemed inappropriate it is flagged, the parent or guardian is contacted and it will not show up on the site.
We have several guidelines for uploaded videos that we let kids know about before they upload and that you should know about as well:

  • We do not allow any personally identifiable information within videos. This includes but is not limited to full names, street addresses, hometowns, email addresses, personal websites, school names, phone numbers and social security numbers.
  • We do not allow URLs to other websites to appear in a video.
  • We will not post videos that contain violence, dangerous stunts or obscene material.
  • We will not post videos that contain negative stereotypes, offensive language or offensive lyrics.
  • We do not tolerate online (or offline) bullying and will not post videos that contain negative gossip, slander or other hurtful comments and/or negative content about other children.

All that said we believe that parents should always be involved in what their children are doing online. It is a personal decision for every parent and family to decide what sorts of activities are appropriate for their children.

Members can give one another “props” – fun, positive, pre-created messages that they choose from our “prop” library – and they can send “Shout Out” videos to one another on their My Channel pages. 12. How do your e-cards work?

We know how fun it is to send and receive e-cards—so we’ve created several free e-card generators where kids can design and send their own. They select a card, choose from the backgrounds, graphics and messages provided, fill in the necessary information and send!
We only ask for your child's first name and the recipient's first name and email address. We use this information to send the e-card and do not store it for any other use. And because our e-cards have pre-written messages that kids choose from (kids can’t send their own personal messages) you can feel safe knowing that each e-card is child friendly.

We require that members be logged in to send an e-card. This ensures that if a user abuses this tool in any way we will be able to contact their parent or guardian and/or cancel their account.
